Outstanding Service Award

This award recognizes Outstanding Service and will acknowledge active individuals within BCSSA who contributed in a meritorious way to Summer Swimming.  It is recognized that all persons working within the organization give a great deal.  However, this award is for the person(s) who "Contributes Exceptional Service".  This award is presented at the Annual Volunteer Recognition and Social Evening.
 
The following are suggested criteria for this award:
 

Criteria
 
  1. The candidate(s) shall have made prominent contribution(s) in some aspect of Summer Swimming and contributed in multiple ways over a period of time.
  2. Persons to consider are: Members from all four aquatic disciplines, board Members, Deck Officials, Fundraising Committee Members and Provincial Organizing Committee Members; and Coaches (for non-coaching volunteer contributions).
  3. The candidate should be a "member" or an individual affiliated with BCSSA.

Frequency
  It is possible that more than one person could receive this in any given year.  The award will not be given if a deserving person(s) is not identified.
 

Nomination Procedure
 
  • Submit a biographical resume of the nominee, including areas of participation and contribution to BCSSA.
  • Describe the specific contributions of the candidate.
  • Supply any other information that is deemed to assist in determining a successful candidate.
  • This award will be given after selection by the Nominating Committee.
