Scholarships

• Pursuing post secondary education is extremely expensive, especially for athletes who continue on with their athletic pursuits at he same time.  As such, the BCSSA offers three scholarships.
• The Ian Allen BCSSA Bursary - Was created for the awarding of bursaries to deserving current and/or past BCSSA members that are planning to/or are presently attending Post Secondary Institutes.
• The Team Aquatic Supplies Scholarship - Supplies a $250.00 award to a BCSSA coach who is returning to a post-secondary institution.

• The Jason Parish Memorial Scholarship (open to BCSSA Members of the Simon Fraser Region)  is named after a promising Simon Fraser swimmer and member of the Coquitlam Sharks. Jason Parish died in 1991 in a motorcycle accident at the age of 19 on his way to his summer job.    Scholarship will be awarded to applicants who best combine the qualifications set forth hereunder. The number of scholarships and the amount given each year will be determined by the selection committee.

Members of BCSSA are like members of our families, as such, scholarships have been created to assist our members in pursuing their Post Secondary dreams.
