There will be a Starter Referee Clinic held April 7th at the South Delta Recreation Curling Lounge from 10:00 – 12:30. All are encouraged to come!
Willing to do Stroke & Turn clinics anytime. It is hoped that each club host a Stroke & Turn clinic this season.

The timing system has been assessed. To upgrade the old system to display 1 line per lane would entail purchasing an additional 7 scoreboard lines at approximately $2,500 per line. To purchase a new system the costs would be approximately $5,000 for the computer/software plus $2,500 for a scoreboard that has 4 lines, and displays 2 lanes per line. - See attached report from Rob Trainer.
Suggest looking into it next year, as this year we are holding Regional’s at Watermania of which there is an up to-date electronic timing system in place.
The cost to replace (1) touch pad is $1,500 and requires a 6 week order time.
Comments:
It is felt that at the Provincial level they are not interested in looking at the Hytec meet manager software until the Registrar’s system software is updated.

Additional concerns expressed as to the potential success of this auction as mainly only BCSSA members will be the bidders plus it appears that the BCSSA is already quite solvent.

Volunteer Coaches Workshop – for anyone who is interested, to please contact the BCSSA office
6. NEW
BUSINESS
Sunripe Sampling Letter – Sunripe is willing to hand out energy bars at swim meets as a promotional offer.
Comments:
It was suggested to leave it up to each Meet manager, as there was a concern that it could take away from the concession revenue.
Nominating committee – Need to start thinking of replacements for
the Director’s and Assistant Director’s positions, as they will be
stepping down after this season.
AGM 2001 – Proposed date for AGM / Social is September 5th. Suggest holding it at the South Delta Rec Centre Curling Club.
High School swimming – Will be meeting North Delta in the next couple of weeks to start planning for next season. Would be willing to coordinate with North Delta / Ladner / Tsawwassen. ALL are welcome! Please contact Firth for more info.
