5.       OLD BUSINESS

·         Fraser South “B” cut off times – Pierre distributed proposed A/B & B/C cut off times as prepared by Carole Gare.  Clubs are asked to review proposed cut off times with coaches.  Please direct questions/ comments to Steve, who will contact Carole for clarification.  Proposal to be voted on at next Regional meeting.

Discussion:

o        Fraser South region has never had their own “A” times  - have in the past used “A” times set by Simon Fraser region.

o        “A” times have not been changed in over 10 years.

o        Concerns expressed with dis-inviting swimmers to Regionals if they do not have a “B” time.

o        Objective of a “B” cut off time to dequalify swimmers from Development meets?

o        Possible “C” meet between Regionals & Provincials?

·         Regionals – Everything is in place.  Please forward any questions with regards to club assignments to Steve or Mike.

·         Starting System – Michelle reported that Surrey is fine with renting out their starting system. There is a concern, however, as to if something was to happen to the starting system, who would be responsible to fix it?  To be discussed at Surrey’s next club executive meeting.

·         Harassment Clinic – BCSSA needs 1 months notice to put on a Harassment clinic.  This would be open to all officials & coaches.  Pierre to contact BCSSA.
