1. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the meeting held
March 6, 2002 were approved. Motion to
approve by Margaret Price, seconded by Steve Plummer. Motion

2. CORRESPONDENCE - none
3. REPORTS
Director of Officials Starter & Ref clinic to be held April 18th 7:30pm at the Steveston Community Centre. Clubs to contact Amelia with numbers. Also, clubs should contact Amelia if other clinics are needed.

4. CLUBS
Boundary Bay - Registration is this weekend.
Cloverdale Not present
Crescent Beach Not present
Ladner 65 returning swimmers. New registration is this weekend.
North Delta Not present
Richmond - Not present
Surrey Will be available to help North Delta with A office at Regionals. Quad meet packages to be mailed shortly.
White Rock - Registration this weekend expecting 80% returning swimmers. Have resolved problem with City Council regarding 6:00am practices.

Fraser South B cut off times Pierre
distributed proposed A/B & B/C cut off times as prepared by Carole
Gare. Clubs are asked to review
proposed cut off times with coaches.
Please direct questions/ comments to Steve, who will contact Carole for
clarification. Proposal to be voted
on at next Regional meeting.
Motion:
That
an honorarium be given to Carole Gair for her work preparing the proposed A/B
& B/C cut off times for the Fraser South region. Motion by Joan Angrignon, seconded by Lynn Hobbs Motion carried
Discussion:
o Fraser South region has never had their own A times - have in the past used A times set by Simon Fraser region.
o A times have not been changed in over 10 years.
o Concerns expressed with dis-inviting swimmers to Regionals if they do not have a B time.
o Objective of a B cut off time to dequalify swimmers from Development meets?
o Possible C meet between Regionals & Provincials?

Regionals Everything is in place. Please forward any questions with regards to
club assignments to Steve or Mike.
· Starting System Michelle reported that Surrey is fine with renting out their starting system. There is a concern, however, as to if something was to happen to the starting system, who would be responsible to fix it? To be discussed at Surreys next club executive meeting.
· Harassment Clinic BCSSA needs 1 months notice to put on a Harassment clinic. This would be open to all officials & coaches. Pierre to contact BCSSA.
6. NEW BUSINESS
· Registration Software Lynn reported that Version 2 is available and will be distributed to all clubs tomorrow. Hopefully glitches have been worked out.
· S & O rules general discussion Pierre reported that the following maximum allowed training to retain S swimmer status in the off season, will be voted on at the next Provincial Board meeting.
Combined maximum of 4 hrs / wk in total - Maximum individual hours per week:
Waterpolo - 4 hrs
Diving - 4 hrs
Synchro - 3 hrs
Speed swimming - 2 hrs in the off season
