1. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

The minutes of the meeting held November 1, 2000 were approved. Motion by Deb Durocher, seconded by Michele Curley. Motion Carried

2. CORRESPONDENCE

Note of condolences sent to Friesen family.

3. REPORTS

Regional Director

Provincial notes:

Provincial’s 2001 in Trail coming along. Still questions about Water Polo camping locations..

Motion to eliminate rounding times – defeated
Motion to continue Provincial aggregates – defeated
Discussion regarding parents signing a good conduct agreement – nothing finalized
Discussion about Provincial budget – large amount of cash & assets on hand.
Regional Director of Officials – meeting Feb 24^th & 25^th
Coaches conference Apr 27^th – 29^th at Camp Howdy. NCCP Level 1 technical.
Any need for a Regional Coaches Clinic? - Funding is available from Region.

Motion:

Fraser South doesn’t support increase in Provincial fees. Motion by Deb Durocher, seconded by Joan Angrignon. Motion Carried

4. CLUBS

Boundary Bay – not present

Cloverdale – asked about proposed off site warm up pool at Trail provincials. Margaret responded that Trail is still working on logistics. Special mention: Coaches must be salaried not contract in order to qualify for HRDC grants.

Crescent Beach – trying to find pool time for winter maintenance. Trying to open pool in June.

Ladner – Winter maintenance increasing. Working on rehiring coaches.

North Delta – Winter maintenance full. Still looking for head coach.

Richmond – not present

Surrey – Winter maintenance going well. New head coach; all new coaches.

White Rock – Mini-meet March 10^th.

5. OLD BUSINESS

Provincials 2002 - to be moved one week earlier to August 7 – 13^th. – Vancouver & District currently bidding.

Regionals 2001 format

Motion: to run Regionals at Watermania August 4^th & 5^th over 2 days, 1 pool, 2^nd pool for warm-up. Motion by Bob Munro, seconded by Michele Curley. Motion carried

6. NEW BUSINESS

BCSSA Web Auction – May 2001 - it is hoped that each club donate 2 items. Items needed by April. More info to come; Margaret to e-mail each club.

Diving Presentation - made by Joanne Linardis of BCSSA & Bev Boys of Dive B.C. – money available for start up costs & coaching. Demonstration at Surrey Quad meet or Boundary Bay meet.

Motion to adjourn meeting by Bob Munro, seconded by Michele Curley.
