1. MINUTES
OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the meeting held June 6, 2001 were amended to state that the Fraser South Provincial duties 2001 are both Clerk of the Course & Marshalling.

2. CORRESPONDENCE - none
3. REPORTS
· There have been concerns expressed with the 2 hr. winter rule in some regions
· There was a brand new Colorado timing system available through Crown Asset disposal. Rob & Firth looked at it, but unfortunately it was only a (6) lane timing system. Margaret e-mailed info to the other Regional Directors.
· Presented Regional Package
· Ros Condrashoff is qualified to run the timing system at Watermania and will look after the electronic timing system at Regionals. Ken Lowe & Brenda Hinz are also qualified. It was suggested we train more people if possible
· Watermania will be open at 6:00 a.m. for set up, with warm-ups starting at 6:30am.
· 16 lanes will be available until 8:00 a.m. each day. After 8:00 a.m. - (6) lanes in the 2nd pool will be open to the public.
· There will be NO DECK ENTRIES NO EXCEPTIONS!! - All entries must be in the Monday prior to the meet.
· Card Party to be held at Bob Munros Tuesday, July 31st. At least one club representative / coach from each club must be present.
· At the coaches meeting, Bob will ask the coaches if their swimmers are prepared to go to Trail if qualified, as the Alternates need to have as much notice as possible in order to make plans.
· 2nd Registration deadline is mid July
· Water Polo/Diving/Synchro need names for validation
Director of Officials
· Need a list from clubs of the names who will not be available for officiating at Regionals
· Will pre-assign official duties for Regionals sign up sheet to be posted at Surrey meet
· Requalified approximately 50 people this year.
· Boundary Bay to bring the remaining official T-shirts to be sold at Surrey meet
Treasurer
· Presented budget for Regionals - estimated $3,000 profit
· All refunds to clubs have been issued

4. CLUBS
Boundary Bay numbers are still increasing just over 110. Having a smooth season!
Cloverdale
everything okay approximately 45 swimmers
Crescent
Beach just completed registration.
Will be hosting a B meet July 25th Wednesday
morning and would like it to be a sanctioned meet.
(In
order for it to be sanctioned they will need a full compliment of
officials plus all swimmers must be registered with BCSSA.)
Ladner growing - basically full at 130 swimmers. Pool is too hot.
North Delta capped registration at 165 swimmers pool okay, everything fine
Richmond 190 swimmers, all is going well
Surrey hosting development meet tonight
White Rock numbers are up for junior swimmers
