Deb Durocher moved that the minutes of the previous meeting be accepted, Seconded by Judith Huntington. Carried.

REPORTS:
  1. Coaches Rep:               Coaches were concerned that there would be late entries allowed for the "B" side at regionals.
  2. Water Polo:                   Maura Gudaitis did a clinic in Richmond; Whiterock to still have a clinic.
  3. Syncro:                         None
  4. Diving:                          None
  5. Registrar:                      Registration from April 30 – June 30,98
                                  Total swimmers – 793 Fees to BCSSA - $16,653.00
                                 Note these totals do not include Cresent Beach
  6. Director of Officials:        Conducted 6 clinics in our region so far this summer.
  7. Asst. Director:               Handed out corrected meet package for Regionals.
CLUB REPORTS:
  1. Boundary Bay:      None
  2. Ladner:                 Had mini meet (3 Clubs)
  3. Cloverdale:           Going fine
  4. Surrey:                 Development meet last week
  5. North Delta:         167 swimmers. BCSSA has set up a memorial fund for Kelly Franks.
  6. Richmond:            Had a swimmerthon and was in the Salmon Festival Parade
  7. White Rock:         Develpment meet coming up. Pentathlon meet on weekend at Bear Creek
  8. Crescent Beach:   None
BUSINESS ARISING:
  • Regional Package was revised
  • Year 2000 - Provincial Bid for Fraser South - Please discuss with your individual club members
  • Submit a list of names to Bob Munro for the regional t-shirts
  • Officials shirts will be available for sales at Regionals
  • Regional relay teams will get Fraser South caps for Provincials. Coaches will get Fraser South t-shirts for Provincials
  • Election 98 - all positions on the FSRD Executive are up for election at AGM meeting on Sunday Aug 9, 98 at lunch break.
