MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
The minutes of the meeting held May 5, 1999 were approved. Motion by John Westlake, seconded by Don Roberts.        Motion Carried

REPORTS
Regional Director
  • Bob reported on Ian Allen's health as a result of an angio plasty
  • Each Club should advertise vacant Provincial Board positions for potential candidates.
  • Let Bob know if you have benches for Provincials for additional spectator seating.
Assistant Director
  • Busy updating meet package for Regionals.
  • Cat. 1 will be in same pool as Divisions 1 - 3 for heats.
  • Any changes for duties for Regionals? No - leave the same as last year.
  • Dave will have package by next meeting.

Registrar
Still missing registration packages form everyone except Ladner. Today was the deadline! There will be a meeting for registrars at Boundary Bay Meet on Sunday at 12:30 pm (June 13) – in the Weight Room.
Director of Officials
Held Stroke & Turn Clinic last week. Fourteen people attended from White Rock and Delta. Fraser South Region is really lacking on senior officials. Murray would like to do a Referee/Starter and Meet Manager clinic. Contact him to arrange. Murray also has some rules books - $11 for cover and insert; $3 for insert only. The cost will be $5 with the Region covering the rest of the cost. Old can be swapped for new at no cost.
Secretary- Not present.
Coaches' Representative
Colleen was not aware of the attendance at the Junior Coaches’ Clinic, she will contact Rosie to get the list of participants so Amelia can bill the relevant Clubs. There is interest in doing another one. Coaches should contact Colleen I interested. Eric Gottardi is in his last year as Coaches’ Rep., coaches need to find a replacement. Greg Sanderson (Team Aquatics) is willing to do a clinic demonstrating underwater cameta use, new timing system etc., plus training tips. Contact Greg directly.
Water Polo - No report.
Diving - No report.
Synchro - No report.
Clubs
Boundary Bay There will be 450 swimmers at the B4 Meet (8-9 clubs). There are 80-85 swimmers in the Club.
Cloverdale Absent.
Crescent Beach Absent.
Ladner 120 swimmers registered + masters and alumni. Held meeting on pool situation in Delta – outdoor pool does not have a long life due to refurbishing of whole pool area. Need to look at Leisure Centre changing rules to allow summer swimmers.
North Delta 184 swimmers. Green and Gold was last weekend. Great success! Meeting on Sungod Aquatic Centre on June 24.
Richmond 150 swimmers; recruiting drive on to raise to 175.
Surrey Quad Meet last Saturday. Great success! Tested new timing system – all works well.
White Rock Numbers not known. Have created drop-in of $3 for alumni, plus registration fee. WRASA development meet now June 30 due to conflict with Crescent Beach. Craig handed out meet information.
Delta Diving No report.
