Present:     Simonetta Leduc, Donna Beaton, Kate Lidstone, Phil de Leeuw, Lynn Hobbs, Joan Angrignon, Diane Gerwin, Pierre Leduc, Michele Curley, Margaret Price, Amelia Werk, Anne Munro.

 

1.  MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

The minutes of the meeting held April 3, 2002 were approved.  Motion to approve by Diane Gerwin, seconded by Joan Angrignon.                                                                                                             Motion Carried

 

2.   CORRESPONDENCE - none

 

3.   REPORTS

 

Regional Director – The Provincial board passed the new S & O rules.  These rules and are to be implemented in the 2003 Season.  – See April Provincial board minutes.

 

Assistant Director(s) – Not present

 

Registrar – Have experienced many problems with the new registration software!  Hoping to receive transfer program soon in order for the registration package to work with the meet entry program.

 

Director of Officials – Held at Starter/Referee clinic on April 18th – about 9 people attended.  Thank you Debbie & Gary, you did a wonderful job! Richmond will be hosting a Stroke & Turn clinic May 29th at 7:30pm at the Steveston Community Centre. North Delta will be hosting a Starter/Referee clinic June 20th at 7:30pm at the North Delta Rec Centre.

 

Treasurer – Presented May 1st financial statement.  Currently have $5,911 in the chequing account, $ 342 in the Timing account, plus $5,000 in a term deposit.

 

Secretary  - Nothing to report

 

Coach’s Representative - Not present

 

Equipment Manager – Not present

 

Water Polo - Vacant

 

Diving - Not present

4.       OLD BUSINESS

 

·         Fraser South “B” cut off times – see attached

 

 

Motion:

 

To adopt A/B times presented in the report to the Fraser South Region for the 2002 season. 

 

The intention of the Fraser South Region is to use the “B” cut off times only at Development meets, to ensure fair competition among development swimmers.  Motion by Donna Beaton, seconded by Amelia Werk.

  1. NEW BUSINESS

 

·         Regional Fees – reviewed prior year’s Regional statement.

 

Motion:

 

That we do not charge a Regional fee this season. Motion by Diane Gerwin, seconded by Pierre Leduc.

·         Cresent Beach Development Meet – is hoping to have a “B” development meet – Thursday, July 11th at 3:00pm.
