1. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the meeting held
April 2nd, 2003 were approved.

2. CORRESPONDENCE - none
3. REPORTS
Reminded all that parents must sign a BCSSA waiver prior to their child entering the pool, even if the child is just trying out. The BCSSA ruling is that anyone can swim twice without paying, you just need a signed waiver.
Director of Officials Pierre reported that if any club is interested in holding a Stroke & Turn clinic to contact Amelia. Also, would the clubs that are hosting a clinic to please e-mail all so that others may attend.
Treasurer Thankyou to the clubs for sending in their outstanding 2002 meet fees. Regionals 2002 made a $980 profit. Currently have $7,500 in chequing, $285 in timing, and a $5,000 term deposit.

4. CLUBS
Boundary Bay - 85 swimmers plus 7 divers have registered. B4 meet package to go out this week. Asked if criminal record checks have to be done annually? - Response was that yes they do.
Cloverdale Swimmers are excited! Will be in their pool on Monday. Numbers are similar to last year. Have received an increase in pool hours.
Crescent Beach not present
Ladner To be in their pool after May long weekend. Registration is full 130 swimmers with 153 in total including coaches and adult program.
North Delta not present
Richmond not present
Surrey - Very excited for upcoming season. Several new swimmers have joined summer program after being in Winter maintenance. Have several registered for Waterpolo. Waterpolo team is currently using Fleetwood pool for practices. Have received (2) coaches grants as well as GST rebate and Gaming revenue.
White Rock - have started a new program this year GUPPIES in training. This is a non-competitive program aimed at the younger swimmers. So far 22 have registered and it is the hope they will enter the competitive program later on. They train 30-40 minutes , 3xs per week.
5. New Business
Motion:
Diving from the ends during warm-ups will only be permitted when swimming 25m sprints, with the exception of relay takeovers which are to be closely supervised by a coach. The consequence will result in loss of warm-up privilege for whole club.
Motion by Robert Pettifer, seconded by Michelle Curley. Motion carried
Interest was expressed in ASST training. Pierre to contact Mel regarding dates of possible training sessions.
Regional meet package is ready.
It was agreed that there was no need to raise fees as we made $1,000 last year, and even with a pool rate increase, we expect to break even.
Rob reported that he had contacted most of the clubs coaches and they had no problem with the current A times.
