1. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the meeting held
May 7th, 2003 were approved.
Motion to approve by Amelia Werk, seconded by Don Roper. Motion carried
2. CORRESPONDENCE - none
3. REPORTS
Regional Director - see below report on Provincial duties
- Legal names must be on registration and be the same on the meet master No nicknames allowed.
- Still having ongoing transfer problems between programs.
Director of Officials have held (3) stroke and turn clinics, including (1) during the Icebreaker meet. Debbie and Gary are holding one tonight at North Delta. Ref & Starter clinic TBA.
Treasurer not present
Secretary Fraser South website very
active. Email bmunro@telus.net meet results
for posting.
Coachs Representative No coaching concerns to report. Would like to use Hytec system as it is so much easier than present system.
Equipment Manager Firth has resigned. Timing equipment purchased last year has gone to North Delta as they needed to cut the pads. North Delta to reimburse Region the original purchase price of $500.
Water Polo not present
Diving have 7 registered. All going well.
4. CLUBS
Boundary Bay - hosting the B4 meet this weekend. Estimate 450 swimmers to attend. Having a few problems with pool access time. Practices going well.
Cloverdale - not present
Crescent Beach training 2xs per week at indoor pool. Outdoor pool to open June 30th. Having problems with registration program.
Ladner have 159 swimmers registered. Hosting a Development meet June 18th. Asking coaches to be aware that swimmers are sensitive to loss of one of their swimmers.
North Delta not present
Richmond Icebreaker went well. Everything rolling along great.
Surrey - had to scramble for pool time, as pool wasnt opened on time. Missing some stop watches from Regionals. Asked all clubs to see if they ended up in their supplies by mistake. (Region agreed to replace any missing stop watches)
White Rock - Club is full at 160 swimmers. Everything is going well.
5. New Business

Urgent - all club presidents to ask members if
anyone is interested in joining the Regional executive, as all positions are
available. Elections to be held at
Regionals.
- Request to be posted on Fraser South web page as well.
- distributed Regional Meet package
- Fraser South has food distribution duties.
- Medal duties Sunday
- All clubs to forward Pierre a list a names with dates, of what families will be at Provincials, immediately after Regionals.
