Minutes of Meeting

1.  MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

The minutes of the meeting held June 11th were approved.  Motion to approve by Lynn Hobbs, seconded by Allison Miller-Bruchet.                                                                                                                 Motion carried

 

2.      CORRESPONDENCE - none

 

3.   REPORTS

 

Regional Director -  see below report on Regional duties

 

Assistant Director(s) –  not present

 

Registrar –  registrations are due July 10th

     

Director of Officials –  Harrassment clinic to be held Tuesday, July 8th at the Steveston Community Centre at 7:30pm.  Encouraged all to come!  Ladner is hosting a Stroke & Turn clinic Thursday, July 10th at the Ladner Pioneer Library at 7:00pm.  Still hoping to have a Starter & Ref clinic.  Would like to see the people who have completed the Stroke & Turn clinic this year out on deck.

 

Treasurer – all receivables and payables are up to date.  Final report on Regionals ’02 is that we made a profit of $1,050. 

 

We have a $5,000 term deposit that is rolled over every 180 days and making very little interest.  Should we extend the maturity, which would yield a higher interest rate?                 Tabled to next executive meeting.

 

Secretary – nothing to report

 

Coach’s Representative – not present

 

Equipment Manager – not present

 

Water Polo – not present

4.   CLUBS

 

Boundary Bay  - B4 meet went well.  Everything going great!

 

Cloverdale  - Having a great summer.  Funding in place.  All are happy!

 

Crescent Beach  - Everything is up and running!

 

Ladner -  Pool is a little cold.  Have cut-off registration at 160 and still have a wait list.  Coaching is great!

 

North Delta –  not present

 

Richmond –  Everything is fine.  At capacity at just under 200.

 

Surrey   - not present – (hosting Development meet tonight)

 

White Rock  - Lots of new young swimmers.  Everything going well!

 

 

5.  OLD BUSINESS

 

 

-          All positions are available for election at the AGM at Regionals

-          It would be nice to see (1) representative from each club to make up the executive

-          To actively recruit at both North Delta & Surrey meets as well as mention it at the official’s meetings.

 

 

 

-          Asked if all is okay with club Regional responsibilities

-          Will ask Pierre to email official Regional registration package to Brad so that it can be posted on the website.

 

 

 

-     Trailer is now insured and ready for pick up at Amelia’s
