Haney Neptunes Registration Information
Information for new and returning Neptunes families

The Haney Neptunes offer 3 different water sports:

  • speed swimming
  • water polo
  • synchronized swimming

Our year is broken up into three different seasons:

  • Fall maintenance runs from September to December
  • Winter maintenance runs from January to April
  • Competitive Summer Program runs from May to August

Program Winter Maintenance
Start Date: Saturday January 9
End Date: Saturday April 24
Practice times:
Swimming – Saturdays and Sundays 2:00 – 4:00
Synchronized Swimming – Saturdays 4:00 – 6:00
Masters – Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 – 10:00

No Sessions on these dates- Easter weekend – April 3 & 4

You may register by mail ( please read instructions below)

Winter Maintenance 2010
Swimming $155
Water Polo $185
Synchronized Swimming $155
Swimming + Water Polo $260
Swimming + Synchro $230

Discounts:
Discount for 3rd child from same family $25
Discount for 4th child from same family $25

Annual Membership Fees:
renewable May 1st at season start
Haney Neptune Membership - $50 per family
BCSSA Membership - $32 per athlete
Fraser Valley Regional Fee - $32 per athlete - summer session only
Synchro BC- Synchro swimmers only- $13 per child –fall or winter only

Program Subsidy Cheque:
post dated for April 15th 2010
$50 program subsidy can be worked off through fundraising efforts.
Your cheque is cashed only if your commitment is not met.

What You Will Need To Register:

Drop In Registration:

  1. One program fee cheque to be dated Dec 28, 2009
  2. One post-dated subsidy cheque - dated April 15th 2010
  3. Your childrens care cards or birth certificates for insurance and proof of age.

Mail In Registration:

  1. HNAC Registration form – 1 per family (signed by parent or guardian
  2. BCSSA Registration form – 1 per child (signed by parent or guardian (to be completed by new families only)
  3. 1 program fee cheque to be dated Dec 28, 2009 
    Please include:
    • Program fee
    • Second discipline fee if your child is doing two water sports (ie. Swim + Water Polo)
    • Annual membership fees of $50 + $32 if your child did not swim with us during the summer session 2009
  4. 1 post-dated subsidy cheque dated April 15th 2010
  5. photocopy of children’s care card or birth certificate – required from new families only

Cancellation Policy

The Haney Neptunes will be pleased to provide a full refund during the first two weeks of any program, less Administrative and Provincial Registration fees. Those swimmers required to withdraw from the program due to exceptional circumstances such as medical or family reasons may apply in writing for a pro-rated refund, less administrative and registration fees. All applications for withdrawal and refund must be made in writing to the club Registrar.

Late Registration Policy

Families that register after the posted date will be subject to a $20 late registration processing fee per swimmer.

Why Volunteer?

Vol•un•teer. I looked it up. Merriam Webster’s online dictionary defines it as: “a person who voluntarily undertakes or expresses a willingness to undertake a service”. Sounds wonderfully philanthropic, don’t you think? Certainly, where my children are concerned, I am “willing to undertake a service”. Then again, the definition on the website was further enhanced by the statement, “one who enters into military service voluntarily”. I had to rethink for a moment. As the start of my third year as a volunteer parent looms on the horizon, I begin to wonder if the latter definition is more appropriate, since that first year felt a lot like Boot Camp.
