Winter 2009
Happy New Year Everyone
I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for your
contributions to fundraising during the fall session and to welcome the
many new faces that have joined the club for the winter session.
The results for fall fundraising have now been finalized and will be
available over the next couple of weeks.
During the fall period we ran many initiatives to help families meet the
fundraising obligations such as the Silent Auction. Purdy Chocolate
sales, Papa Murphy cards and a few more.
The winter session has now begun and I would like to tell each of you we
will be stepping up the initiatives to make it easier for each of us to
meet the fundraising obligations.
Over the next couple of days I will be sending out the first initiative
that will begin this coming weekend. Please take the time to check your
emails and be sure to get your child/children involved.
We have many fundraising initiatives that will be presented. Along with
the seasonal initiatives we have a couple of permanent initiatives
available that I will recap and send out to everyone over the next few
days in a separate email.
Please take the time periodically to check your folders (every family
has a folder) in the blue box at the teach pool. At times you may need
to access this box to either leave communication in the fundraising
folder or to check your own folder for updated communication.
Communications for fundraising can also be left in my family folder. If
the blue box is not out during the swim maintenance times on weekends
please check with your coach as they have access to the cage in the
equipment room in which it is kept.
If anyone has ideas that you would like to bring forward regarding
fundraising and possibly lead it, this would be greatly appreciated. If
anyone would like to step forward and lead some of the initiatives that
we will be running with this session, again it would be greatly
appreciated. If you have any interest please email me directly at
drosec@telus.net.
Thank you,
David Rosec

Bottle Depot Fundraising
For all of you looking for a way to support your fundraising obligations
here it is;
Accounts are set up at both Haney Bottle Depot located at 2-22935
Lougheed Highway (east end of town) and Maple Ridge Bottle Depot located
at 15-20475 Lougheed Highway (behind Shoppers & Save on Foods).
All you need to do is take your empties in, sort them and cash them in.
Let them know you are from the Haney Neptune Swim Club and have them put
it under that account. You will receive a receipt with the total that
you cashed in. Put your family name on the back of the receipt and the
first name of your swimmer. Please put all receipts in the blue
communication box at the pool. Either put them in the fundraising folder
or in my family folder. The blue box is usually out on the bleachers
during weekend maintenance. If it is not there check with the coach as
it is in the equipment room cage beside the teach pool. Please send me
an email that you have put a receipt in the box.
This is a great way to pay off your fundraising obligations as every
dollar you receive goes towards the deposit cheques that we hope to give
back to you at the end of the winter session.
Please email me at drosec@telus.net
if you have any questions.
Fundraising opportunity for all
I
have our first fundraising initiative ready to go. I would like to start
by telling each of you that when you enrolled for the winter session you
wrote out a cheque for $50 that will be cashed at the end of the season
if your family does not hit the minimum $50 on fundraising. My goal is
to help each of you reach your mark and hopefully surpass that which of
course will help the club. My goal is to see all cheques returned rather
than be cashed.
With that all said PURDY'S is back!
Everyone knows the Purdy reputation for quality. We have FRESH single
Milk Chocolate Bars that sell for only $2 each. Conveniently packaged
cartons that are easy to carry and contain 20 bars per box. For each bar
that you sell $1 is credited towards your fundraising obligations for
the winter. These are very easy to sell. If each family can sell two
boxes for 40 bars than you have almost met your goal. I do have limited
quantities so its first come first served. Please email me directly with
how many boxes you would like and I will be at the Leisure Center on
Saturday and Sunday from 2:30 to 3:30 to hand these out.
This is a great fundraiser in which the kids can get involved. They can
sell them door to door (with supervision) or they can take them to
school to sell.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at
dosec@telus.net
Again I have limited quantities so please get back to me by email.
Thank you
