SCOTT McCORMICK - Head Coach

Picture of Mitch  Scott is returning for his 4th year on the Marlins Coaching staff and 2nd as a Head Coach. As a swimmer Scott spent 11 years with the Marlins and 1 with the Agassiz Aquanauts.

Scott has experience working with kids of all ages. He worked as a lifeguard and has completed the Level 1 swim coaching Course.

A recent graduate of the University of Northern British Columbia, Scott spent 4 and a half years in Prince George where he earned a Degree in Commerce. He also spent 3 years playing for the varsity Basketball team at UNBC.  Upon graduation in December Scott left for Southeast Asia where he traveled for 3 months.

Scott's enthusiasm for summer swimming combined with his easy going personality make him a wonderful coach for the 2011 coaching staff.  Scott can be reached by e-mail at basketball_canada@hotmail.com.

Shannon Key - Assistant Coach

My name is Shannon Key and this will be my second year as assistant coach for the Mission Marlins. I have been swimming competitively since the age of six. I swam with the Agassiz Harrison Aquanauts and Mission Marlins summer clubs, followed by three years with the Chilliwack Spartans Winter Swim Club, where I competed at the provincial and Western Canada levels. While at the Spartans I also assisted
with their development program. Swimming has brought so many happy and exciting memories to my life and I am looking forward to sharing them with the swimmers this season.

I am currently attending the University of Calgary where I am working towards a degree in Communications & Business studies. In my free time I am swimming with a Masters Program at the University. I have also completed my Level One coaching/instructing certifications in both swimming and skiing.

I am very excited to be working alongside Scott again this year and providing a great atmosphere for everyone to succeed. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Shannon can be reached by e-mail at Shannon.Key@hotmail.com.
