Mini
Marlins:
Children ages
5-11 who have taken lessons and can swim a length of the pool on both their
front and back unassisted. They have not yet learned all four strokes legally.
They must be able to dive, flip turn and read a pace clock to move to the
junior level. Most new swimmers will start here. Some swimmers will start
here for 2 months and as their skill level improves will move up to juniors
in July.
Juniors:
Division 1-3 (8-12 yrs.)
Swimmers who are able to swim all 4 strokes legally and can read a pace clock.
These swimmers can complete a set with little supervision. This group is a
big jump from the mini marlins both physically and psychologically. The coaches
will judge whether a swimmer is ready to attend these practices.
Seniors:
Division 4 swimmers and
up. Div 4 is also a big jump as swimmers are now doubling their distances.
This group will work on increasing their endurance. We may have to move some
Div 3 A swimmers up to the senior group depending on numbers and at the discretion
of the coaches.
